Villamartin is a cosy and popular town located 3 kilometres from the sea on the Costa Blanca in the province of Alicante, surrounded by pine forests and golf courses. And it was thanks to golf that this small town began to develop rapidly.
Climate
One of the main reasons of Villamartin’s attractiveness is the local climate. 320 sunny days a year, the average annual temperature is +20 degrees. It is almost never cloudy here, and rains are very rare. The town is really very green. It is quite literally buried in the greenery of palm trees, pines, and thujas.

If you welcome healthy food, this town is all-good-for-you. Between November and March, you will find here oranges, lemons and tangerines in abundance. Aside from these fruits, local farmers grow many types of vegetables here, including tomatoes, broccoli, artichokes, eggplants, etc.
Population
According to official data for 2019, about 30 thousand people live in Villamartin. The population of the town was largely replenished by foreigners, as it is a favourite vacation spot for residents of the UK and Northern Europe. They account for more than 55% of the total number of permanent residents.
